SRI Pre Workshop Assessment       

Prior to the January 5, 2007, Organization Improvement workshop, I would like to learn a little about organizing issues in your department. Please complete this short assessment. I look forward to hearing from you.

1.  Do you start your workday with a specific routine?
2.  Are you usually able to quickly lay your hands on needed papers or information?
3.  How many hours do you probably spend weekly handling mail and reports?
4.  At the end of the week do you feel that you've accomplished the objectives that you needed to, in order to be successful in your job?
 
5.  How satisfied are you with your ability to be organized and effective in your job?
 
6.  Tell me some ways in which you personally could be more organized and effective? (i.e. Spend less time on e-mail, stop going to unproductive meetings, have a better filing system, have better systems for my project work etc.
7.  Tell me some things your department could put in place to be more organized and effective. (i.e. We need timelines; we need a cross coverage plan so we know who does what if someone is out sick; we need better reports etc.)
